On Thursday 5th of February 2009, His Eminence made a friendly visit to His Eminence Cardinal Walter Kasper, President of Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity. They both talked about the importance of dialogue and meetings amongst their Churches, as our Church has already taken upon itself to pursue this goal. His Eminence the Cardinal expressed his willingness to offer every help possible to continue strengthening the relationship between our two Churches.
He also visited His Grace Bishop Brian Farrell L.C., Secretary of Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, accompanied by Fr Milan Zust sj, Secretary of the Catholic Committee for the Cultural Collaboration, who greeted him warmly and who expressed his happiness with the strong level of cooperation that bind us together.
His Eminence also gave an interview to Paulus Magazine where he revealed through the answering of the questions the spirituality of our Orthodox Church of Antioch and the active role it played in last year’s celebration of St Paul, especially since in its land St Paul came to the knowledge of Christ and there he was baptised.
