Aiming always to have the best relations with the Catholic Church, Metropolitan John, accompanied with Fr. Elias Esber and Mr. Alber Chefchti, visited H.E. Cardinal Joachim Meisner in his residence in Cologne. Metropolitan John thanked his eminence for his continuous support to our parish in Cologne. The Cardinal, also, expressed his great joy to receive metropolitan John, also he emphasized that the orthodox Antiochian presence has an essential religious importance in Cologne. Afterwards they discussed a variety of ecclesiastical affairs related to principally to the Christian existence in the East and to the challenges we have in the west.
