The Auxiliary Bishops
During the work of the Holy Antiochian Synod in its forty-seven session, held in the grounds of the Monastery of our Lady of Balamand from the 21st to the 23rd of June, 2011 the fathers of the Holy Synod examined the extent of the Archdiocese both in its homeland country context and in the diasporal context. They decided to elect twelve auxiliary bishops, three of them for the Archdiocese of Europe. Those elected were:
